Japan series

This Japanese Series has been created over many years with a more mindful, calm and liberating inspiration.

Two ikiyo-e Japanese artists have mainly influenced me: Master Katsushiko Hokusai and Master Utagawa Hiroshige created so many stunning, original and balanced compositions, using round lines, trees acquiring supernatural dimensions, moon motives, water being part of their inspiration.

Following a few trips to Japan, I came back with an imagination full of admiration for landscapes, and atmospheric places. This is being translated in my paintings, this Series will never end...every new canvas holds mystery, a new palette and makes me live everyday more mindfully.
