In Zen Buddhism, the moon symbolises enlightenment. Regardless of which religion one has chosen, the Japanese people collectively look up to the moon as a positive force in their beliefs. This time only the word in kanji is set across a very textured, iridescent gold lustre on canvas. An abstract, strong, yet decorative work.
