The contemplation of Mount Fuji iconic slopes has been a recurring theme throughout my “Japanese Series”. Here the grey-blue nocturnal hues surround the reflection of this truly beautiful volcanic mountain in Yamanashi Lake. This painting came out of my imagination, yet evokes my admiration for this poetic region of Japan. The branch across the foreground catches the eye of the viewer and draw attention to the stillness of the water.
