From the “Japanese Series”, the name Nagano evokes densely wooded slopes. This fictional landscape was created with layers of sand, reactive varnish, blue and green inks, which all give depth to the perspective. Flex of gold leaves add light. The viewer sits, dreams, and can escape through the canvas.
