Van Gogh’s exploration of the overgrown garden at Saint Remy’s hospital in 1889 shed light into his interest in gardens and connection to their restorative effect. This personal study is not a copy, but inspired by my love of trees and admiration for this wonderful composition, sunlight and powerful foliage and trunks.
