Mount Fuji is Japan’s highest peak, it is among Japan three sacred mountains and became a popular destination in the Edo period. Master Hokusai’s finest woodblock prints made the views world famous.
This semi-figurative painting is my homage to FujiSan: an emblematic palette is giving emphasis to this famous volcanic cone.
Crytomeres pines in the foreground add dimension to this lake view.
