The amazing lotus flowers and buds float on green fluid varnish for this semi-abstract composition, memories of Thailand.
They symbolize purity and spiritual enlightenment and are sacred in Eastern cultures, but for me, their beauty and short lived bloom make them exceptional. The seed pods are highly decorative and the fibers of the stalks have been used in traditional weaving of refined cloth on Inle Lake in Myanmar.
